I am interested in purchaing this but need to know

-if the Suspensions are air?

-if the brakes are hydraulics?

I am not sure if 11 gears are enough because I sometimes ride in Greno Gate woods and they are some steeps hills?

Do you Decathlon allow you to test the bike before you buy?

Hello Rich,
In answer to your questions, both front and rear suspension is air with lockout.
The brakes are hydraulic yes.
11 gears will be enough (I also used 1x11, it is slowly becoming the norm) I have used this to ride up the peaks etc, having a small chain ring and big cassette the gear ratio is same as 3x9.

Assuming the smallest chainring is a 26 and the biggest cassette tooth is a 36 in comparision to the 30 tooth chainring and 42 tooth cassette of the 740 V2.

Most stores will allow you to test the bike but you are best to call as some won't stock the bike.

I will have a look in Sheffield Store and test ride one if they have any.

One more question, if I order the bike online, does that mean I have to put the bike together?

You will have to do some small assenbly, turn the handlebars or attach them and put the pedals on. The rest is all done for you.

There is a video online showing you how to do both if you need any help with this.

Yes you are right it has disappeared from the website! Why is this Decathlon? Have they found a found a fault with the bike?

There is only one full-sus bike shown currently, the 500S at under £300.  Hmm??  It does rather need an explanation.

I researched this myself in a store yesterday. Whilst there are other new bikes to be released (shown as yellow on their computers) and the v1 is being phased out (shown as red and currently 25% off), the v2 (grey on the stock system) is meant to be a current and ongoing product.
