Here are some reasons why we do or should wear Calf Sleeves:
Protection: They protect your legs from small scratches, abrasions and nasty things on the trail.
Swelling: Compression technology has been proven to remove swelling, especially in people who spend all day on their feet. For example spending 24 hours on the trail for a 100-mile ultra!
Dirt: Collects on your sleeves and not on your legs. Although, there is nothing wrong with dirty legs. Therefore this reason is not important, not to me anyway.
Warmth: Allows you to wear shorts on those cold days when you’d reluctantly wear tights.
Coolness: For those who want to look cool. Oh! come on! We all secretly do!
Now, I’ve been asked, by Decathlon, to test and review the Kalenji Sleeves. After a few runs with these on, my first thought was “There are cool”, nice colour which also matches perfectly with the deep purple of my Kalenji running shoes . Good start!
Comfort? fit? Most definitely comfortable but sizes are not generous. Therefore, make sure you measure your calves properly and if you can, try a pair before buying them. Once that done, they will feel supportive and will compress your calves slightly. I say slightly as they are not Compression Sleeves and therefore do not offer all the benefits of one.
These Kalenji Calf Sleeves are probably not recommended for long distance running but are great for beginners or for shorter distances. What do you expect!? £9.99 for the pair! Another Decathlon bargain for a cool looking, comfortable and supportive product. Here you are, not all negative comments after all, and before you ask, I will most definitely keep using them.

Great to see you enjoyed testing the Kalenji Kanergy sleeves and will continue to do so. In terms of compression, whenever you see the term 'Kangery' in a Kalenji product this means that the product has the promise of compression.
Kalenji are always looking for feedback to make thier product info clear to customers. Were you told that they were not compression or was it the unbelievable price? Any feedback most welcome.
